C-mon & Kypski |
C-mon & Kypski are not a duo but a Dutch electronica quartet that take the band name from the two original members C-mon and Kypski (Simon Akkermans and Thomas Elbers) who were joined by Daniel Rose (strings and guitars) and Jori Collignon (piano, keyboards) to result in a dynamic eclectic blend of electronic and live music. C-mon & Kypski fuse musical genres from electronica, hip hop, rock, jazz to gypsy styled music seamlessly combined into one song.
C-mon & Kypski were the unexpected highlight of Oppikoppi for many of the broad-minded music fans when they played on the Friday night on the Sipho Gumede stage resulting in them being talked about well after the festival was over. They have already been featured in the media including an interview in the October SL magazine.
Their third release, ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ was released in 2006 following a trip to Morocco where the majority of the recording occurred to result in a restless and diverse album.
Where the Wild Things Are was released in 2006 by Jammm brands and entertainment in the Netherlands and exclusively imported by One Minute Trolley Dash Records.
